Day Twelve
On leaving Oxnard, we had a fairly long driving day ahead of us. The Coast Highway has some of the most spectacular views, but as most Californians know, it is not a fast drive due to sightseers, campers and people in small 2-cylinder French cars.
We stopped in Pismo Beach for a late lunch at the Rock and Roll Diner. Continuing north, we finally arrived at San Simeon and took a motel room that was wonderful, clean, large and had a working TV and no termites. Ain’t life grand!
