Keyrings (for sale soon)
When delivering a refurbished 2CV to a client, I cannot put any other keyring than a Citroën one, of course.
Here are some of those I have or had.
A few more...

What ?!
What can be the relation between 2CV's or Citroën and this keyring coming from the
Mont Saint Michel ?

Produced by
r.i.p. Citroën Revue.
There is an embossed heart with the Citroën logo on the other side.
Citroën Revue also proposed this model, very expensive but really very nice :
It is made of high quality enamelled metal (émail cloisonné grand feu).
Quite nice too, made of metal covered with a thick, soft and shining plastic coat.
That was the usual keyring from Citroën dealers by the end of 80's.
The name, address and telephone number of the dealer is on the other side.
If you want a very light keyring, this one is for you :
.
Only soft plastic, with the Citroën logo printed on it.
Or may be you would prefer this cutted out figure :
.
Only soft plastic too, but with the famous Michelin Bibendum© character
If you prefer good old heavy metal keyrings, there are three models :
Found on the mud of
a junkyard. The chrome has vanished and the metal itself is a little bit oxydized.
An other one found in a junkyard.
The chrome has vanished too and it was painted with some red paint, which, in turn, vanished.
The only one I have with this
kind of bright shining chrome.
Pottery money box
If you cannot afford one of my refurbished 2CV's, this could be a solution for you.
Once you have filled the money box, there is no need to break it into pieces
because, fortunately, there is a hole with a plastic cap under the chassis.
My everyday 2CV is a 1983 red Spécial. I had this scale model for christmas 98.
The front doors can open (but only the bottom part, the window is part of the main body !).
There is some kind of spring engine inside. You move the 2CV back then release it and it runs alone.
(Really great with cats !)
1/24 scale model
A very nice model made of 99 small parts, so nice of a little model that I have prefered
to keep it as parts.
I also had a blue one, but I gave it to Vicki (THE famous Vicki from Hollywood) for his support
during my 92 USA tour.
Alarm clock
When this alarm clock rings, it is not a ringing but a loud, never ending song shouting :
Rollin' ! Rollin' ! Rollin' on a river !
Fortunately, the two headlights lite so that you can quickly locate this
þæüؼ©³ø! shouting
alarm clock and push the button to stop the song
(or beat and mangle that
ïóëúÑÙ¼³!
stuff because it is really too loud...)
Range Rover Canada/Alaska tour pin
A þï½ýس!
Range Rover pin among 2CV and Citroën Stuff ?!
Yes. This pin was given to me by R. Mowry,
the organizer of that Range Rover Canada/Alaska tour, and also a great 2CV addict.
I was not able to visit him during my 1992 USA tour
because he was living in the Maine, definitively not nearby my road but I had the pleasure to meet him during
the 11th International meeting of 2CV friends in Slovenia thre years later, in 1995.
He had specially brought this pin from the USA to Slovenia as a gift for me.
the Mont Saint Michel keyring
This is a very strange story.
When I went to the 12th International meeting of 2CV friends
in the Netherland, I went with a 1984 red Spécial. At the end of the meeting, I decided
to include in my trip back home the Mont Saint Michel. But I never reached it. A few kilometers after
leaving the meeting place, there was some traffic jam on the road. I had to stop. The car following me stopped too...
inside my 2CV !
I was not hurted and the 2CV, althought completely wrecked on the rear, was still able to run
but I decided to go back home directly.
The chassis and the main body was too heavily damaged for repair. I had to find an other 2CV.
I found the same ! Quite the same : a red Spécial, just one year older than my previous one.
The body and chassis was in good condition but with a closer inspection, what a deception :
the whole engine, transmission and exhaust was an horrible mess,
the upholstery was a disaster and the seats had been welded to their runners ! I had all those
components in good condition on my other 2CV, ready for a swap. I bought that 2CV.
When I had the keys, what a surprise :
the keyring was from the Mont Saint Michel ! It was a sign : that 2CV was for me !
Usually I put a Citroën
keyring to the keys when I buy a 2CV but this time, I kept the old one. I finally went to the Mont Saint Michel,
one year later, during summer, with that red Spécial 2CV and its special Mont Saint Michel keyring.
